The North Coast provides families, friends, couples and those travelling on their own the perfect opportunity to relax, explore and enjoy the breth taking scenery.
We here at Cromore Halt are located close to the Portstewart Strand which is maintained by the National Trust and offers two miles of stunning sandy beach and undulating sand dunes which are ideally suited to family outings.
We are also within driving distance of the world famous Giants Causeway which has recently opened an interactive visitors centre. Other top tourist destinations within the area include Dunluce Castle, Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge and the Old Bushmills Distillery which is considered the oldest distillery in the world.
There are many tourist attractions in the area which are featured on the HBO series Game Of Thrones such as Ballintoy Harbor,
Downhill Beach and the Dark Hedges, Ballymoney.
We are approximately an hour drive away from the famous walled City of Londonderry, which was named the UK City of Culture in 2012. Heading out towards Londonderry you may wish to stop off at the historic Downhill Demense which also features woodlands, gardens, ruins, open grassland and Mussenden Temple sitting right on the edge of the cliff.
There is a collection of top class events which run in the area throughout the year including the North West 200, Air Waves Portrush, Red Sails Festival, Milk Cup, Raft Race and a collections of vintage car shows.
There is plenty in the area for all the family with activities including surfing, swimming, outdoor pursuits, horse riding, shopping and fishing to name but a few. For sure there is something to keep everyone entertained!
